ACADEMIC EDITING EXPERIENCE
2012 – 2020

I have proofread, English language edited and formatted to specification journal articles for international peer-review journals, Master’s dissertations, PhD dissertations and chapters of multi-author edited books. My clients are academic staff and students of University of Cape Town (UCT), Stellenbosch University (SU), University of Witwatersrand (WITS), University of Johannesburg (UJ), and Rhodes University, South Africa.

While I have edited journal articles and dissertations from a range of faculties/departments, my clients are primarily academic staff and students of the psychology departments of these universities. The expertise I bring as an editor is enhanced by my training as a psychologist, allowing my familiarity with, and knowledge of, the subject matter and text content of articles, dissertations and books.

I am able to identify where text specific to psychological research requires editing, and indicate to the author content requiring their attention, which, without my training and experience, I would not be equipped to do as an editor.
